Greece: Milos, Paros & Athens!
Flights:
Flew from KC, to ORD, to ATH
From Athens, you can fly or ferry to any of the islands!
Stays:
Milos: Milos Breeze ($440/night)
Paros: Parilio ($407/night)
Athens: Esse Athens ($377/night)
Locations:
Milos – Milos is small and quiet, but I loved it! The water here is phenomenal, so whether it be a catamaran, scuba, etc, booking something on the water is a must!
Paros – Paros is bigger than Milos, and definitely more lively! Naoussa has tons of restaurants and shops, and there are multiple beach clubs here too!
Athens – I would not spend more time here than is absolutely necessary. It’s incredibly busy, and if the purpose of you being in Greece is to enjoy the islands, I wouldn’t spend a lot of time here! Very similar to me to Rome in the sense that it’s jam packed with people, very historic, lots of tours, churches, etc.
Day One: Milos
Land in ATH and ferry to Milos (4 hour ferry)
Check into Milos Breeze
Absolutely loved this hotel. Quaint, boutique vibe, amazing staff, 10/10 infinity pool, breakfast included, and we loved our room! Would absolutely book again!
Explore Pollonia (didn’t have time)
Dinner at Rifaki (didn’t have time)
*Note: we were originally supposed to fly from ATH to Milos, but we had to stand in the customs line for 1.5 hours and missed our flight. There were no more flights the rest of the day, so we had to take a really late ferry. Would rec flying over the ferry, just make sure you have a 3 hour layover if you plan to go during high traffic season.
Day Two: Milos
Explore Sarakaniko Beach and Mandrakia
Was 58 degrees this day, but this would’ve been amazing had it been warm!
Lunch at Medusa
Small, gorgeous views, and wonderful food! Esp incredible fresh octopus (per taylor!)
Wine tasting at Kostantakis
Greece is not known for their wine, so if you’re a total wine snob I don’t know that I’d rec, but it was such a fun place to hang outside in the sun since it wasn’t warm enough for the beach!
Dinner at Kyra
Truffle pizza was to die for, loveddd the vibe here!
Day Three: Milos
Catamaran Tour w/ Naya Yachting ($2500 for the day + unlimited food & drink)
I could write 5 pages on how insanely incredible this was. This is the number one thing I would recommend you do while you're in Greece. ALL around 10/10 experience. We did a full day (9 hours) private tour, and I will never forget it. They took us to five different stops, each was more incredible than the last. Nancy cooked us the best meal we had in all of Greece, and drinks were included all day!
*Note: We decided to splurge on one thing this trip, and this was worth it x 100. However, you can also do their semi private trips which are much more affordable. Either way, do not miss this if you’re in milos!
Dinner at Yialos
This was probably a 5/10 for me, wouldn’t necessarily recommend but walkable to Milos Breeze if you’re staying there!
Day Four: Paros & Antiparos
Ferry to Antiparos (2 hour ferry, $100 pp)
Pick up rental car ($300 for 3 days)
I went into this trip thinking Greece was super walkable, and in our experience, specifically Paros, it was not. I would highly recommend a car!
Check into Parilio Hotel
Woof, probably one of the three nicest hotels I’ve stayed at, ever. Immaculate vibes, heavy on the luxury. Pool was stunning, wonderful staff, rooms were fabulous, breakfast included daily. All around fab, would book again!
Off Road ATV Tour ($125 pp)
This isn’t going to be for everyone, but it was a fun way to get to see the whole island!
Dinner at Levantis
I didn’t think this was anything spectacular, but not bad by any means. There’s just so much to choose from in Paros and I don’t think this was anything I’d say you couldn’t miss!
Day Five: Paros
Ferry to Antiparos (8 min ferry, $8 per car)
Explore Antiparos
Cute, quaint little island! Would absolutely rec taking a day to do this. It was too early in the season for us to enjoy the beach clubs/most of the shops, but if you’re going any time after mid May, you’ll love it!
Apps & drinks at Cafe Romvi
Pool rot at Parilio
Dinner at Sigi Ithios
We had reservations at Barbarossa (famous for their white napkin party on tiktok!) but when we got there, it was too early in the season for them to be having the party, so we left and went to Sigi! It was a happy change of plans because this ended up being some of the best food/vibes of the entire trip. Would highly rec a reservation here!
DJ/drinks/bar at Sommaripa Consolato
We stayed here until 3am, enough said. There’s not a ton of nightlife in Paros from what I could tell, but this place was so much fun. Great dj, drinks (not cheap), fun late night vibe.
Day Six: Paros
Massage at Parilio
This is the only thing I was disappointed by at Parilio! Not a ton of amenities which is typically what I love about a spa, and neither of our massages were anything amazing.
Cabana Beach Club
Again, we were early in the season but had it been a little more crowded this would’ve been an even better time. Beach access, really nice daybeds, DJ!
Greek Cooking Class ($135 pp)
I didn’t know what to expect for this class but an absolute must book for an authentic Greek cooking experience! We made 8 different dishes, got to eat everything when we were done, and the host was amazing. Well worth the money imo! Such a fun experience!
Day Seven: Athens
Drop Rental Car
Fly from Paros to Athens (1 hour, $100 pp)
Check Into Esse Athens
Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel, at all. Good location but it was extremely run down for what we paid, just not worth it when there are so many options in Athens!
Explore Athens
Dinner at Stork Rooftop
This was fantastic, would book this reservation again in a heartbeat. We all absolutely loved our food, and the rooftop had the most amazing view of the Acropolis!
Day Eight: Home
Transfer from Esse to Athens
Fly from ATH, to ORD, to MCI
*Note – if you’re going during busy season, please get to the airport 3+ hours in advance. We were there two hours ahead and got pulled from the passport check line so that we would not miss our flight. But had we waited in line even 5 more minutes, we would’ve missed our flight.
